Hello and welcome to the second in our series of blogs to get to know our fantastic team!
Over the coming weeks and months we are giving you the opportunity to get to know a little more about who we are, how we help you (our clients) and what we get up to in our spare time.
NAME: Murray Clarke
ROLE: Photographer
Tell us a bit about the work you do with Marketing Square?
As a lot of marketing these days is visual, most of the Marketing Square clients require high-quality images for their websites, blogs and other promotion. A photo shoot typically includes headshots for the online profiles, team photos, as well as capturing the working environment and also local landmarks for a personal feel.
We also create stock photography packages that give your business something different to the generic stock images that can be found online.
What key skills do you bring to Marketing Square?
- I am an award-winning wedding photographer with a passion for working closely with people to help them achieve their aspirations and business goals. I bring a whole host of photography skills into the corporate work that I do from portraiture, architectural, events and even documentary. This includes high levels of creativity to capture something that is unique for you and your brand.
- Highest attention to detail to ensure you have crisp, sharp images for your chosen medium, with perfect contrasts and tones that reflect the mood of your business.
- As a photo shoot requires up-front planning, complete organisation on the day and a lot of work in the studio following the shoot, I am skilled in project management, to deliver your images in line with wider project deadlines.
Tell us a bit about you…
After living in London and growing up in Solihull in the West Midlands, my family and I have recently moved to the beautiful south coast. It is idyllic being able to take walks on the beach or in the South Downs and the children love being closer to nature. Yet it is still in close proximity to London and other parts of the country to effectively carry out my work.
Photography has been my passion from a young age, and my sister is also a photographer. In my spare time, I also love to work on personal photography projects as well as documenting my children as they grow up.
Quote to live by…
“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
— Elliott Erwitt
What is your current favourite brand?
Sony. I switched camera brands a few years ago to Sony because they innovate and listen to their customers. They are pioneers of technology thats allows me to create my art without boundaries.
