Hello and welcome to the fifth in our series of blogs to get to know our fantastic team!
Over the coming months we are giving you the opportunity to get to know a little more about who we are, how we help you (our clients) and what we get up to in our spare time.
NAME: Will Piercey
ROLE: Website Design & Development
Tell us a bit about the work you do with Marketing Square?
I build and design websites for clients of Marketing Square, working closely with the team to provide custom solutions and ensure client requirements are met.
What key skills do you bring to Marketing Square?
- I have been involved with web design now since early 2000 starting with learning HTML and CSS to build basic websites and then moving to more complex database-driven sites.
- These days I have largely settled with WordPress as a platform, as it’s very versatile both from a client perspective and from a developer point of view.
- The technology is changing quickly and this keeps things interesting, always providing new aspects to learn. With each client I always aim to advance the designs and functionality a little further, as well as incorporating all the tricks I have learnt on previous projects.
Tell us a bit about you…
I am originally from Wales and came to live in Kent after falling for my partner who has been settled with children here for many years. We both love travelling, which I do when time allows. My other passion from an early age is music and it’s what got me involved with technology and design in the first place, as I studied sound engineering and computer technology and continue to make music.

What is your current favourite brand?
I generally favour brands that have shown it is possible to be successful and incorporate ethical or environmental standards into their business model, such as Patagonia. I am not a big consumer though really – apart from at meal times – so it’s a difficult question to answer! In terms of following design trends though I do like to look through awwwards.com to see what the top design studios are up to from time-to-time and to pull in some inspiration.
We hope you enjoyed getting to know Will a little more. Stay connected for more insight into the Marketing Square network.
